Who will supervise and mentor the intern(s)? A team member from AMK will be assigned to each intern.
What do we want our intern(s) to accomplish during the program? We expect that the experience will close the learning, experience and information gap between classroom learning and real work engagements.
What Will Orientation Entail? A two (2) hour introduction to the company, relevant policies, roles and expectations, evaluations, opportunities after internship etc.
An introduction evaluation will be done by the assigned supervisor and the intern to establish base lines for performance and deliverables.
This will be followed by weekly evaluations and feedback sessions, conducted with each intern and the assigned supervisor. The conversation will look at how the intern is progressing and contributing, strengths and areas needing growth, and any other feedback for the intern. Required adjustments made for the upcoming week.
Intern will also prepare and present a weekly report on assigned project status and ask questions.
The intern will also prepare and present an evaluation of their time at the organisation.
The intern will also maintain a daily diary of their activities.
An exit interview may also be conducted with the supervisor, intern and two other persons, one from the intern’s tertiary institution and the other from AMK’s Human Resource team. Questions will be asked on all sides to gather feedback on the program and the intern’s experience.
Based on the outcome of the exit interview, Interns may be invited to advance to full time employment with AMK.
